Dr. Jennifer Soncini brings 25 years of experience in pediatric dentistry to South Shore Dental Group. Dr. Soncini completed her preliminary dental training at Universidad Central de Venezuela and Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Soncini received her advanced pediatric training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, followed by a pediatric residency at Tufts-New England Medical Center. Additionally, she has achieved the coveted status of Diplomate of the Board of Pediatric Dentistry; a distinction only approximately 30% of pediatric dentists have obtained.
She currently holds the academic position of Assistant Clinical Professor at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine and is a member of the Clinical Research Collaborative at The Forsythe Institute for Dental Research. Her numerous clinical research studies have been published in the Journal of the American Dental Association, Community Dental and Oral Epidemiology, the Journal of Public Health Dentistry, and the Journal of Pedodontics. Dr. Soncini’s research has been presented at highly regarded meetings of the International Association of Dental Research, the Kiwait Dental Society, and the American Academy of Dentistry for the Handicapped. Past positions have included Director of the Kiwait-Forsythe School Oral Health Program, Chelsea School Dental Director, and clinical instructor at Mt. Ida College for Dental Hygienists.
In addition, she holds hospital appointments at Boston Medical Center, Franciscan's Hospital for Children, and Cambridge Hospital.
Her experience in the care and management of children in the dental setting is enhanced by her talents in working with autistic and developmentally disabled children.
